At least I thought it was... A friend was telling me about a co-worker's Christmas tradition. The children get four gifts:
Something you Want
Something you Need
Something to Wear
Something to Read
In this world of crazy gift giving, I thought it was a great idea!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment. It really means a lot to me. We are taking things one day at a time and so glad to be home and recovering from the storm. Wow, never even thought I would be put in a situation like this, but I have tried to make the best of it and see the good in it all. I have learned a lot from this experience and will never forget those that came together to help us and other Ike survivors in our time of need. There are so many good hearted people in this world. Thank you for taking the time to comment. :)
Hugs,
Casey

came across your blog & just wanted to say hi. my brother's family does this - been doing it for the last 2 or 3 years. makes alot of sense. kids get so many other gifts from grandparents, family member - why do we need to spend just as much when in 3 weeks they won't be playing with half of it? ha i really like the idea. are you going to do it?
They get some from each catagory- but not just one from each...maybe when they are older. But we only buy twos two times a year Birthdays and Christmas , so their new stash has to last a while. :) My kids love books, arts and crafts stuff a LOT so even though they get a lot it doesn't really cost THAT much and it's good for them.
